The Ice Cream Stop in Abingdon

Great little ice cream shop with the most delicious ice cream in Southwest Virginia. Some days you can not even get into the parking lot or drive thru of this ice cream place. I will tell you there is a reason for this problem. The ice cream is up there with Ben and Jerry’s but their own unique flavors. This is the go to ice cream shop in Abingdon. Friendly staff here as well!!!

I've had a lot of people tell me about the Ice Cream Stop over the past couple months of moving here, but I finally had my chance to try it a few days ago and, man, it was amazing. The prices were very reasonable and they have such great flavors. I had carrot cake ice cream which was to die for and highly recommend. They also have a drive thru for on-the-go goodies! Great place for the whole family!

One of the last great ice cream shops. A good variety of hand scooped ice cream is hard to find in the age of froyo, and this place does the trick! They have a lot of great unique flavors.

A great place to get awesome ice cream during the summer. I always look forward to them opening every year. This is a must go to.

They're always so friendly and nice! They have a great selection of ice cream and toppings. They don't have any indoor eating areas but there is a covered patio with some wooden picnic tables to eat on!

The man was short, rude, didnt get my order right, & ignored me when i tried to correct it. .Ice cream was fantastic tho!

the ice cream is good but being diabetic they have a very limited variety of sugar free ice cream. They are a little expensive but it is worth it. So if you talk to them tell them to get sugar-free butter pecan.

I wanted Anniversary Cake so bad the other day but when my boy went to get it they said they didnt have that one anymore and the girl who was working suggested another ice cream stated it was just like Anniversary Cake. Well imagine my suprise when most of it is chocolate because Anniversary Cake has no chocolate in it at all. So no this new ice cream tasted nothing like Anniversary cake except for the fact there was cake pieces in it.Also we have visited here 4 times in the past two weeks and the young girls who are working are so rude, it makes you want to put them in time-out!.

Good ice cream and old fashion banana split!! Love!!!!!! The only problem is that someone needs to teach the girls how to fill a cone with the soft serve ice cream. I wanted to jump over the counter to show the one that was taking my and my daughter's order. (I use to work in a place like this in a different state)

We detoured off the interstate to go to DQ. As we turned we saw this place across the street. We prefer the little, off-the-beaten path places. It was great!

Assuming this is locally and family owned business. Typically a man and what seems to be an all girl staff. Most of which look like softball or volleyball players. Nothing wrong with this at all as they are always very nice and polite. Amazing ice cream flavors here and a place around the side and back to sit and enjoy the ice cream!!
